01Choosing a voice
Mexico is the largest Spanish-speaking country, and it's where most Latin American dubbing is made, so its neutral accent is the one viewers from Mexico to Chile know best. That makes a Mexican voice the safe choice for one version across Latin America, and for Spanish speakers in the US.
Write for Mexico when the video is for Mexico: “ustedes” rather than “vosotros”, “celular” rather than “móvil”, “computadora” rather than “ordenador”. For a wider Latin American audience, keep slang out and the vocabulary neutral.
