Use case · Games & animation
Design voices that don't exist yet, from a hoarse sea captain to a nervous robot, and give every character their own. Direct the emotion line by line and add sound to prototype whole scenes.
For Indie game studios, animators, storytellers, prototypers
Ahoy there. The sea was rough tonight, but we made it home.
Captain, the engine's making the noise again.
That's not the engine, lad. That's the sea saying hello.

Whether you're prototyping a game, voicing an indie title or putting sound to an animatic, AI voices let you hear your characters long before a recording budget exists. Here's how to design a cast, direct it and get files your engine can use.
Start with a one-sentence description of each character's voice: age, accent, texture, attitude. “A weary sea captain, hoarse and slow, with a smile in his voice.” Voice design turns that into three takes; keep the one that fits. Each design costs 700 credits, and the voices you keep belong to your account.
Make sure the cast is distinguishable: vary pitch, pace and accent so players never wonder who's talking.
Write the dialogue as a script with character names, then set the emotion and pace of each line where the voice supports it. Generate, listen and adjust; because every line is separate, you can iterate on one beat without touching the scene.
When a line needs a very particular delivery, perform it yourself and run it through the voice changer: your timing and emotion, your character's voice.
For animatics and cutscenes, add footsteps, doors, weather and ambience as sound effects on their own lanes, with loops for background ambience. You'll know whether a scene works before anything is final.
Export the whole scene as a mix, or as stems with one file per voice, all the same length, so they line up on any timeline or in middleware.
Many studios use AI voices for prototypes, placeholders and minor characters, and cast actors for leads. If you clone an actor's voice, you need their permission. Cloning in Leelo always asks you to confirm it.
