How credits work
Everything in Leelo is paid for in credits. Here's what each thing costs, when credits renew, and what's free.
A credit is a word read in a standard voice. Paid plans and lifetime deals give you a number of credits each month; a free account gets 1,000 once, when you sign up. Everything you make is charged from them.
What things cost
- Speech: 1 credit a word in a Core voice, 1.5 in most Pro and Ultra voices, 5 in a few Ultra voices and in a voice of your own. Each voice shows its price in the library.
- Writing assistant: 10 credits for every 500 words it works on, at least 10 (a brief or a single line costs 10).
- Transcription: 40 credits a minute.
- Clean-up and voice changer: 1,300 credits a minute.
- Dubbing: 5,000 credits a minute, for each language.
- Sound effects: 20 credits a second, at least 100 a sound.
- Voice design: 700 credits for three attempts. Cloning your voice is free.
Per-minute tools are charged by the second, with a 100-credit minimum a job. In Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Lao, Khmer and Burmese, six characters count as one word.
What's free
- Generating a line again when nothing about it has changed.
- Exporting a project, however many times: nothing is generated again.
- Plays of an embedded player on your site.
When credits renew
The free plan's 1,000 credits are given once, when you sign up, and don't renew. On a lifetime deal, credits renew on the same day each month as the day you signed up. On a subscription, they renew when the month's payment goes through; on a yearly plan, each month on the day your subscription started.
Monthly credits don't roll over: each month starts at the plan's full amount. If you need more before it turns over, a credit pack lasts twelve months.
