Get started with the API

Make a key, call the API, and the limits that apply.

1On Pro or Business, open Developers → API keys and press Make a key.
2Copy it now: it's shown once. Keys start with lk_live_.
3Send it as Authorization: Bearer lk_live_… with every request.

Up to 10 keys. 120 requests a minute per key; past that you get 429 with Retry-After. Keys are for your own workspace, not a team's. Every route and its cost: the API page.
